Nice video and great fish. Recently went to France for a week at Etang De Villaine. Was there for 5 nights and caght 24 fish and they were all over 20lb, eleven of them were over 30lb. yes they are edible. they have a line down their sides that is chemically different than the rest of the meat. it must be carefully removed dont want to cut it. dad always uses white vinegar to soak them. they were brought to the U.S. for food and many peoples consider them a delicacy. they are very clean fish really. and even smarter than a trout (this is a fact. carp are one of the smartest fresh water fish) they are my favorite on a fly rod. these fish have a special place in my life.
